    Stevenson named CPD Officer of the Year

    Detective Rich Stevenson was named as the 2013 Officer of the Year at the Centralia Police Department's annual Christmas party.  Rich is a 28 year veteran of the department beginning his career in January of 1986.  He was responsible for establishing the Department's first canine program and acted as a handler for three dogs over a 17 year period.  In March of 2010, he was assigned to his current position as a full time Detective doing follow up and investigative work.  Most recently, Detective Stevenson has been very successful solving a number of high profile burglaries using fingerprint evidence and other forensic techniques.  Each year, members nominate one of their peers whom they feel best represented the Centralia Police Department's mission of "service to the community."
