RICHVIEW — Paul P. Skibinski, 78, of Richview, died Wednesday, Dec. 04, 2013 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia.
He was born Nov. 29, 1935 the son of Simeon and Thelma (Sanders) Skibinski in Richview. He married Margie A. McClain on May 28, 1956, in Mt. Vernon. She passed on September 4, 2012.
Mr. Skibinski is survived by three daughters, Karen Frerich and husband Jeremy of Richview, Sheila Niederhofer and husband Leroy of Centralia, and Angie Merrell and husband Doug of Waxahachie, Texas; a son, Randy Skibinski and wife Gayle of Centralia; grandchildren, Stacey Jolliff and husband Brock of Centralia, Michael Smith of Ft. Myers, Fla., Kelly Crosby and husband Sam of Marion, Ohio, Daniel Niederhofer and wife Brooke of Richview, Joshua Niederhofer and wife Misty of Marion, Jordan Lynch, Devin Merrell and Maccoy Merrell, all of Waxahachie, Texas, and Taylor Brake of Centralia; great-grandchildren, Gavin Jolliff, Emily Smith, Brayden and Calan Crosby and Rayne, Lorren, and Ben Niederhofer; brother Orland Skibinski of Centralia and sister Frances Ruth and husband Delbert of Springfield.
In addition to his wife, Margie, he was preceded in death by two brothers Ervin and Jerry Skibinski, sister Juanita Kurtz, and grandson Ryan Niederhofer.
Paul was the owner of Fortmeyer Electric in Irvington for 30 years. He was a member of the Richview Methodist Church. He was a collector of Indian relics and Skibinksi history. He enjoyed spending time working with stained glass and caring for his dogs. He loved his family dearly and treasured the time he spent with them.
Services for Paul will be at noon, Saturday at the Richview United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Richview Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Gambill officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday and from 10- 12 p.m. on Saturday at the Richview United Methodist Church.
