UNDATED (AP) — Third-ranked Ohio State will tumble down The Associated Press men’s basketball poll following the Buckeyes’ second straight loss. They’ve followed Tuesday’s loss to Michigan with an 84-74 setback against No. 20 Iowa.
Roy Devin Marble scored 22 points and helped the Hawkeyes end the game on a 22-9 run. Aaron White had 19 points as Iowa withstood a 22-point afternoon by LaQuinton Ross to improve to 14-3 overall, 3-1 in the Big Ten.
Top-ranked Arizona is off to the best start in school history at 17-0.
Brandon Ashley and T.J. McConell each scored a season-high 19 points as the Wildcats drubbed Southern California 73-53. Nick Johnson had 15 points for Arizona, topped the previous school record for best start set in 1931-32.

— Luke Hancock had a career-high 23 points, including two free throws with 46 seconds remaining, to help No. 12 Louisville beat SMU 71-63. Russ Smith scored 23 points as Louisville bounced back from Thursday’s loss to No. 24 Memphis.
— JJ O’Brien had 18 points and 11 rebounds as No. 13 San Diego State beat Air Force 79-72 to run its winning streak to 13 games. Xavier Thames had 16 points for the Aztecs, while Josh Davis added 13 points and 11 rebounds.
— C.J. Wilcox hit a career-high seven 3-pointers and scored 21 of his 31 points in the second half of Washington’s 71-54 romp over No. 15 Colorado. It’s the Huskies’ first win over a ranked team since the 2011 Pac-10 Conference tournament championship game against Arizona.
— Oregon suffered its third straight loss since a 13-0 start as Anthony Brown scored a career-high 24 points to lead Stanford’s 82-80 win over the 17th-ranked Ducks. Chasson Randle had 23 points for the Cardinal, who led throughout the second half of their first Pac 10 victory in three games this season.
— Tre Demps scored 11 points and made three late 3-pointers to lead Northwestern’s 49-43 upset of No. 23 Illinois. Drew Crawford added 14 points and JerShon Cobb had 11 to help the Wildcats end a four-game slide.
