    CENTRALIA¬† — Dorothy L. Cicigoi, 92, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Centralia Manor.

    She was born the daughter of Ora and Flossie (Van Daloh) Whitlock on September 18, 1921 in Dix. She married Paul S. McCormick on December 28, 1940 in St. Louis, Mo. He was killed in action during World War II. She married Frank Cicigoi picture-pubon March 16, 1963 in Centralia. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2008.

    Survivors include two daughters Roberta Sanders, husband Randall Whitlock of White Marsh, MD and Janet Robinson, husband Dennis of Oak Forest; three grandchildren Robin Coulbourne, C. Jeffrey Sanders, and Jade Hladyshewsky; three great-grandchildren Ashley Coulbourne, Joshua Hladyshewsky, and Jacob Hladyshewsky; brother Ralph Whitlock; two sisters-in-law Zita Whitlock and Alice Whitelock; brother-in-law Robert Cicigoi, wife Katherine; and several nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her husbands, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two brothers-in-law, and one great-grandchild.

    Mrs. Cicigoi was a former bookkeeper for Sandoval High School, Hollywood Candy Factory, and Kaskaskia College in the special education department. She was also previously a clerk at the Bank of Dix. She was a member of the Ladies Elk of Centralia, VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Centralia, Eastern Star of Patoka, Golden Gems, and Eternity Baptist Church of Centralia. She belonged to two pinochle clubs, secretary of the Women’s Bowling Association of Centralia, volunteered at the Patoka Library and Shalom ministries. She enjoyed water aerobics, bowling, crocheting, knitting, and cross stitch.

    Services for Dorothy will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Rev. Larry Miller and Rev. Gary Allen will be officiating with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

    Friends may call from 4 Р7  p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval and one hour prior to the services on Thursday.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Shalom Ministry.
