A 25-year-old Richview man was taken this weekend to the Marion County jail after leading Centralia police on both a arrestedvehicle and foot chase.

Centralia police were initially called to the Knight’s Inn where Dustin Atteberry was allegedly in a domestic dispute with his sister.

Atteberry allegedly fled in a vehicle and later crashed in the 800 block of Wabash Avenue in Wamac. He then fled the vehicle on foot. The Centralia canine was later able to track Atteberry and allow police to take him into custody.

Atteberry was arrested for alleged domestic battery, resisting a peace officer and on an outstanding Illinois Department of Corrections warrant. He was treated at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital before being transported to the Marion County jail.
