• Jackson County man gets 100 years for Carbondale murder

    A Jackson County man has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for a 2013 fatal shooting in Carbondale.

    Kely Y. Arbuckle, 26, of Murphysboro, was sentenced Wednesday in Jackson County court.

    Arbuckle was convicted in January of first degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm in the death of tToren Stanley. Authorities said Arbuckle killed Stanley, 20, of Marion, during a drive-by shooting mar. 9, 2013 at the intersection of eEast Grand and South Giant City Road. Arbuckle was taken into custody in St. Francis county, Ark., nearly two weeks later.

    In addition to the 100-year sentence for Stanley murder, Arbuckle was also sentenced to 20 years in prison on drug charges.
