• Accused bank robber pleads “not guilty”

    A 41-year-old Waltonville man accused of two area bank robberies entered a not guilty plea Tuesday in Jefferson County Court.

    Jeffrey M. Wilson of Waltonville is charged with the alleged November 27, 2012 robbery of Community First Bank of the Heartland in Woodlwawn, as well as the December 10, 2012 hold-up of the Jefferson County Schools Credit Union.

    He is next scheduled to appear in court for a Feb. 19 pre-trial hearing.

    Wilson’s wife and sister-in-law are also charged in connection with the robberies. Bail on each of the three is half a million dollars.
