Republican Congressman Aaron Schock of Peoria is considering a run for Illinois governor. Schock tells WMAQ-TV in Chicago that he hopes other GOP hopefuls will step aside. The 31-year-old congressman says he can’t “tell them not to run,” but other GOP candidates who have run before are wasting their time.
Shock joins a growing number of both republicans and democrats hinting at 2014 run for Illinois governor.
