• Small quake hits Southern Illinois

    A small earthquake was recorded Tuesday in southern Illinois. A magnitude 2.1 tremor was recorded in Pulaski County, about four miles southwest of Tamms.

    The last major quake to hit southern Illinois came on April 18, 2008 when a magnitude 5.2 quake centered near west Salem caused minor damage around the region.
