According to thefatal-accident-e1347728638204 Illinois State Police out of DuQuoin, the one-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 1:39 p.m., when, according to witnesses, a Winnebago motor home was moving strangely on the highway.  it then went off the road and hit a guardrail, causing it to turnover.

The driver 55-year old Robert Keenes of Altina, Minn. was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon and was pronounced deceased.  He was the only occupant of the motor home.

It is believed Keenes had a medical issue leading to the accident and an autopsy is planned for today. The interstate going north had a lane blocked for about and hour and a half.
