The Kaskaskia College Board approved last night a $5 per credit hour tuition increase from $92  a credit hour to $97, with an increase for out-of-district students from $179 to $184 per credit hour. It was also agreed to increase per credit hour lab fees by $2. The condition of state finances makes the increases necessary says KC President Dr. Jim Underwood, who says appropriated state aid has dropped by $300,000 this fiscal year.
