• Patoka woman sentenced to prison on meth charges

    A 37-year-old Patoka woman was given 7-days furlough this week to get her affairs in order before she has to report for transport to begin serving a 3-year sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

    Trina M. Organ was sentenced this week to 3-years in IDOC, after she pleaded guilty to a 2013 charge of possession of less than 5-grams of methamphetamine, a charge that came while she was already serving 4-years  probation for a 2012 conviction for possession of less than 15 grams of meth precursors. she also pleaded guilty to the 2012 violation for which she received another 3-year sentence, but the two will be served concurrently.
