• Communities begin approving CILA homes

    As one community fights against the closure of the Warren G. Murray Center in Centralia, another community has announced the opening of a new group home for individuals with developmental disabilities will open in their community this spring.

    The West Frankfort City Council has agreed to donate three lots to the H Group for a “community integrated living arrangement.”

    The home will bring at least nine full- or part-time jobs with it, according to Rob Ford, the h group director of vocational and residential services.

    The h group hopes to open the home by june 1.
