Albert Rainey, 39, was given 40 years behind bars on two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

Reports state that Rainey was arrested in 2006 for acts involving a victim under the age of 13 and after filing an open plea of guilt was sentenced to 27-years in prison.

He was given a retrial in that case after it was found his attorney had not informed him of mandatory sentencing that would have required him to serve the two sentences consecutively, which would have equaled 54 years. He was found guilty at the retrial in February.
