Billy Currington will be the headliner on the first Saturday, Aug. 24 – an exciting booking, says fair manager John Rednour Jr.
“We were very happy to get him booked in on the first Saturday. We think that’s probably going to be one of our biggest shows that we have here at the fair,” said Rednour, who announced the lineup Tuesday.
Other country acts will be Sawyer Brown, Montgomery Gentry and Lee Roy Parnell.
There’s a gospel night on Aug. 27 featuring Matt Maher. Brittany Loyd, a 15-year-old singer from Carmi, will open for Maher. Alternative rock acts Theory of a Deadman and Trapt are scheduled for Aug. 29
Classic rockers Kansas will perform Aug. 31, with the Fabulous Thunderbirds opening.
Ticket sales start June 17.
