A Centralia man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a 2012 Class X felony home invasion. In exchange for 57-year-old William F. Gegan’s plea, a felony firearm possession charge was dismissed. Gegan will be sentenced July 31st.

Gegan reportedly forced his way into a Marquis Drive residence where he confronted a person there with a 22-caliber revolver. Gegan claimed the gun was unloaded.

The altercation was over some stolen knives. Gegan was talked into leaving the house, placing the revolver on the ground. He previously served eight years in prison for home invasion. Gegan could be facing up to 30 years in prison.
