The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department is alerting  the public of a suspicious person seen in the Bartelso area Thursday night.

The person in question arrived at a Bartelso residence at approximately 7 p.m. Thursday and identified himself as an employee of the DISH Network. He stated he would like to enter the residence and check the homeowner’s satellite cables.

The homeowner did not allow the man inside the home and after checking with DISH Network on Friday, the homeowner was told that DISH had no representatives in that area and representatives are prohibited from going  into a customer’s home without notifying the customer first.

The individual is described as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, thin build, blonde hair in a pony tail, clean shaven, wearing a shirt with a communications company name on it that began with an “N”. He also had a lanyard around his neck with “DISH” printed on the strap, but no identification attached to it and a hat.
