• Last defendant sentenced gun theft and meth case

    A case involving firearms stolen in an Iuka burglary and a meth lab bust has wrapped up with the conviction of a 21-year-old Central City woman. courtgavel_1353175955264_328934_ver1.0_320_240

    Bianca Meeks has pleaded guilty to Class 2 felony use of a vehicle to produce meth. Three other charges were dropped and she was sentenced to four years probation.

    In all, 17 guns were stolen from former Marion County Sheriff Gerald Benjamin’s home in Iuka and ultimately that led to the discovery of the meth lab. Meeks is the sixth and final person to be convicted in the case, one of those convicted was Benjamin’s grandson, 23-year-old Nathaniel Benjamin who is serving a prison sentence.
