A weekend shooting incident in Jefferson County has resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old Opdyke man, who was charged with multiple felonies Wednesday morning.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, they responded to a call Friday night on Stratford Lane, where it was reported that that Kyle E. Shelton had allegedly shot a firearm at multiple individuals.
The incident allegedly started as an argument between Shelton and his 29-year old wife Katrina Shelton, who was staying at a residence on Stratford Lane.
He then allegedly pulled out a gun, shooting off multiple rounds with Katrina, Alan Oliver and Kenneth Johnson present.
Shelton then reportedly went home and was picked up later without incident and was taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
He was charged Wednesday in Jefferson County Court with two Class 1 felony counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle and two Class 4 felony counts of reckless discharge of a firearm. Bail has been set at $150,000
