death of an 84-year-old woman he reportedly lived with, says Sheriff Roger Mulch.

42-year-old Timothy S. Newell was arrested on a warrant charging him with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle and is being held in Sweet Springs, Mo. He is reportedly the adopted grandson of Rita Newell.

Timothy Newell lived with Rita E. Newell, whose body was found Thursday afternoon after police forced their way into the home while, initially, conducting a well-being check at the residence, on Helkin Drive in Bonnie.

Mulch has said foul play is suspected in the woman’s death, though authorities are waiting on autopsy results before disclosing the cause of death. He says he anticipates additional charges, but will have to wait for the autopsy results to be finalized before they can sit down with the state’s attorney.

Mulch said police went to the house after receiving a call from out of state by someone concerned about the woman’s well being. He would not say who that person was or from where the person was calling.
