Some Illinois corn farmers who faced a dismal harvest last year are seeing a big crop this year. Steven Niedbalski farms near Nashville and last year his best field delivered 40 bushels an acre.

This year he’s seeing 150 to 170 bushels an acre thanks to new hybrids and better weather. The corn crop nationwide is expected to be a lot better this year.
