A 25-year-old west Frankfort man remained in the Marion County Jail Monday, charged with Class 1 felony residential burglary.
Scott M. Johnson was arrested Friday morning by Odin police for an October 16th residential burglary.
An ex-girlfriend had told police Johnson was the only person who would know how to gain entry to her home by the method that was used by the burglar.
Police had questioned Johnson earlier in the week after he was spotted in a vehicle where a Play Station III was plainly in view in the back seat. A Play Station III was one of the items stolen from the Odin home. A further examination of the play station indicated it was registered to the burglary victim.
Reports indicate Johnson had been staying at a home in Odin where the arrest was made. He was paroled in April from the Illinois Department of Corrections and reportedly had permission from his parole officer to be in the Odin area where he was reportedly operating a tree cutting business.
IDOC records indicate Johnson had been convicted in Franklin County on two counts felony burglary, one count felony theft and one count obstruction of justice.
