KINMUNDY — Jeffrey Lawrence Charlton, age 47, of Kinmundy, died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
He was born Jan. 15, 1966, in Salem, the son of Larry Eddie Charlton, who preceded him in death, and Lena Joan (Perry) Kline, and she survives in Kinmundy. He married Michelle Torres, and they later divorced. She survives in Stewardson.
Mr. Charlton is survived by his sons, Cody Charlton and wife Joseana, of Lockhart, Texas, Blake Charlton, of Kinmundy and girlfriend Kortni Walton, of Nashville; daughters, Kaylee Charlton of Kinmundy and boyfriend of Odin; brothers Eddie Charlton and wife Sheila, of Alma, and Bradley Charlton of Salem; grandson Ethan Charlton; step-father Ronald Kline, of Kinmundy; and several nieces and nephews who will all miss him greatly.
He was a farmer and worked for Effingham Equity.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, with Bro. Josh Conley officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
