• Centralia man gets consecutive sentence in Hamilton County

    A Centralia man will be spending 15 months behind bars after being convicted in Hamilton County court of driving away PRISON SENTENCEfrom a gas pump without paying at a McLeansboro convenience store in July of 2012.

    Police spotted 26-year-old Kevin Newcomb leaving Hucks in the Hamilton County community and not paying for his $40 of fuel.

    The sentence will reportedly run consecutively to a seven-year prison term that Newcomb is serving out of Marion County for drug and weapons charges.
