Centralia police are investigating the report of the suspicious man, noting information is sketchy and that students’ stories varied.
However, the information they received from the Third and Fourth Grade students is that the man was on Third Street behind the school and asked them if they had seen his dog as it was missing.
One student did tell school officials that the man asked them to get into his truck to help him look for the dog. While police do not have a description of the man, students say the truck was either purple or maroon and had wood on the tailgate.
Anyone with information about the incident, or who sees similar suspicious activity, they are asked to contact their local law enforcement.
