Officer Curtis Griffith was named the Centralia Police Department’s Officer of the Year during this year’s annual Christmas Dinner.  Each year, current and retired members of the Department gather with their spouses to celebrate outstanding accomplishments and recognize those who have distinguished themselves.   Officer of the Year is awarded to that employee who best represents the Mission Statement of the Department as nominated by their peers.

Officer Griffith was hired by the Centralia Police Department in April of 2007.  He is a Centralia resident and a graduate of Kaskaskia College.  Curtis is married to his wife Monica who is a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital and they have a 2 year old son Carter.
