November 3rd to December 1st

Friends of the Sallie Logan Library in Murphysboro will be holding the annual silent auction from Monday, November 3 to Monday, December 1. Hours are Monday-Thursday 10 am to 7 pm, and Friday-Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm at the Library, 1808 Walnut, Murphysboro. Historically over 100 theme baskets, original art and gift certificates have been offered. All proceed support such Library projects as childrens summer reading programs, large print books, books on CD, e books and online genealogy and reference resources.   Membership to Friends of the Sallie Logan Library is open to all.will held the annual silent auction from Monday, November 3 to Monday, December 1. Through December 12th

The Crab Orchard School’s FCCLA “Angel Tree” program will be accepting donations. The “Angel Tree” program provides Christmas presents to children who have a parent or parents in prison. Donations can be sent with students, or be made at school offices.

December 6th

The Invisible Pain Org. Benefit Concert will be held at the Murphysboro Senior Citizen Center.  The event will be free from noon until 5pm, with acoustic performers and information booths of local businesses and organizations and concessions, and from 6-10pm, there will be two live bands, CILfm and Darling Parade, who have performed on MTV. December 8th

The Williamson County Emergency Management Agency’s Multi-Hazard Mitigation Planning Meeting will take place at the Pavilion in Marion starting at 6pm.

December 13th

The Second Baptist Church of Marion will be holding their annual “Christmas Carnival” from 5pm until 7pm. There will be free food, free games, free crafts and free fun for the entire family!

December 18th

CASA of Williamson County will be holding their “Dine to Donate” event at the 20’s Hideout Steakhouse in Marion. The event will run from 5pm until 9pm. 10% of all proceeds will benefit the CASA program to advocate for local children who suffer from abuse or neglect.
