And while we’re changing our colors (pink is the new black, dontcha know!), we’re still doing it for a great cause. A portion of the proceeds this year will go to the SIH Foundation in support of breast cancer and other cancer patients.

You’ve made your votes, and the judges have chimed in…and we have our three finalists for Bring Your Own Band at Black Diamond Harley-Davidson. Later next month, one of these three bands are going to win a thousand dollars, plus a digital drum set from Byassee Music in Marion.

Jack is a Husky/Shepherd mix and is approximately 5 years old and weighs 70 pounds.Jack and his sister Jill was adopted to a wonderful lady a few years back and due to a serious illness she was not able to care for him and his sister any longer. Rather than live a life of loneliness his owner sadly brought him and his sister back to us.

Unfortunately Jack and his sister contracted heartworms, which is passed to dogs by mosquito bites. His sister, being much older than Jack, was not strong enough to survive the heartworm treatments and had to be put to sleep. Jack is now all alone. He is undergoing heartworm treatments and doing wonderfully. Once his treatments are complete, as long as he is kept on his monthly heartworm preventative, he will never have any long lasting side effects.

Jack is a very happy boy who loves people and misses companionship and attention. His favorite thing to do is lay next to you and roll around or lean against you for comfort. He gets along great with dogs of any size, he even has two very silly chihuahuas that he plays with daily. He also gets along great with cats. He would do great in any type of home as long as he had lots of love and attention.

Jack is a little overweight although he is losing steadily. He would need an owner that would monitor his diet, groom him regularly and provide regular exercise to keep him happy and healthy.
